Seeing and accepting yourself through the eyes of others

Sep 13, 2024 | Uncategorised

How do you feel when you go through feedback?
Recently I’ve been going through feedback from the people who have taken my courses, been in my groups, spaces, done 1:1 with me and had readings, since 2020.
I keep nearly bursting into tears because one thing I’ve been historically bad at, is being able to see myself and accepting how others see me.
Perhaps some of you will resonate with being the seer not the seen.
It’s why one of my greatest assets is seeing others. We often profoundly give to others what we have always needed ourselves.
This year I’ve been working on owning and holding my bigness, owning my fierceness, whilst staying open, vulnerable and humble.
Seeing ourselves becomes easier when we have safe witness from others: for those people I am truly grateful 🙏
Dimming and fitting in has been safe and what I’ve always known, and this year I’ve been consciously loving myself as I expand out from those old modes of being.
Anyway because I love a bit of humour, I wanted to share 2 lines that have stuck with me through the years – these still crack me up:
“𝑰𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒂 𝒛𝒐𝒎𝒃𝒊𝒆 𝒂𝒑𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒚𝒑𝒔𝒆, 𝑰’𝒅 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒃𝒚 𝒎𝒚 𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆”
and my personal favourite….
“𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒂𝒔𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕”
How could I argue with that?!
If you’re looking for a place to be safely witnessed as your whole self, I will be opening The Sacred Temple soon where we’ll be doing this with the power of the group 😁🙏✨
